Job hunting is a mine field, for someone like me who has just graduated university the pressure is on to take that first step into the real world of work. Some people might be reading this thinking "you're 22 and you still don't have a job" to that question I state "Yes, but not a career" because I have taken the decision to Travel the world instead I am currently working in an Administration role at a company within the automation industry. This job role although not in the industry sector I would like to be in has allowed me to both earn some money for my travelling and develop a deeper understanding of the workplace. As an administration assistant I have understood the nitty gritty details which make a business tick, having access to all managerial levels I have also developed the confidence to communicate calmly and to understand what the type of people who will ultimately be hiring me for my 'career' job are looking for from a person as the pressure has been removed from me to impress them. The people I am working with now probably have no idea what an influence they are having on me and my future self and how appreciative I am of their respect and guidance.

In my next career chapter I shall be looking to apply the skills I have learnt from my 'little admin job' and applying the confidence I have developed to ensure that future employers may get a good picture of the kind of employee I am and what I could be. ✌🏼
