So I recently came across the word 'Hygge' whilst looking through Pinterest and then later found it on Instagram when Danish blogger Isabella Thorsden mentioned it. The word cannot be translated into English with one meaning which I found even more interesting. From my understanding it's sort of a concept or feeling. You have Hygge when you have a feeling of warmth, comfort, happiness or content with life and I loved the idea of this. So I have set out to make add in a little more Hygge into my life.
I purchased a new book with short stories in and hope to read them from time to time as a way of reducing the amount of time I spend using technology.
I will also be lighting more candles and taking time for myself during busy periods at university.
Another thing which I hope to do to bring more happiness into my life is to buy myself flowers, at this time of year one of my favorites are available - Daffodils, the bright yellow colour never fails to make me smile just a little bit AND they are one of the cheapest to buy (currently avaialble from Lidl for a cool 98 pence).
